pure botrytis way

A spicy and admirably pure nose mixes notes of red and blue pinot fruit with those of Asian-style tea

a wine that ultimately is produced only about once every four years or so

This is borderline old school as the rusticity isn’t subtle yet it’s not so pronounced as to make this tough or chewy

An airy and pretty if not especially dense nose combines notes of white orchard fruit, especially pear, with those of citrus, wood and resin. The delicious and round flavors also display good punch that contrast somewhat with the youthfully austere and reasonably long finish. This will need to add depth if it is to merit the upper end of my projected range. (89 92) 2024+
